So, apparently it has got to be won with thoughts. That is why Gurmukh pyare often say "Bani pado/suno/vicharo, shudh vichara padhoge/sunoge/vicharoge, te mann di duvidha mit jayegi" No wonder, Gurbani has such a calming effect to our soul. Its as if, our Mann is a horse and Gurbani its rein. Gurbani puts blinkers to this horse, so that the Mann can overrule any evil thoughts which it confronts.
